About Us

Earthyweaves is handloom for real life. Earthyweaves was born from a simple belief—
handloom was never meant to be occasional. It was always everyday.
Not museum pieces. Not occasion wear. Cloth that goes to work, to meetings, to the world — and carries 500 years of weaving tradition with it.
We were founded to answer a simple question: why did handloom disappear from everyday wardrobes? Why do we only buy handloom out of sympathy or for occasions? Not because it stopped being beautiful. Because no one built it for the way we live now. Because we stopped taking pride in our own handloom. Because we ran behind Fast fashion.
At Earthyweaves, we're fixing that. Our work sits at the intersection of craft, sustainability, and modern living. Working directly with artisan clusters across Odisha, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh etc, we design handwoven workwear that is minimal, durable, and made to last — in craft and in use.
This is not about nostalgia.
It’s about making handloom relevant again—
in offices, homes, and everyday routines.
Every piece you wear is a livelihood sustained, a technique preserved, a thread in something larger.
Wear it. Work in it. Keep the loom alive.

Social impact

Artisan Livelihoods

Direct and cooperative-based partnerships with weavers across Odisha, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. Fair wages, consistent orders, no middlemen where we can help it. Not seasonal demand — steady work that treats craft as a profession, not a pastime. Every order matters to a real weaver family.

social impact

Craft Survival

We work with handloom traditions at risk of disappearing — Sambalpuri, Pochampally, Tussar, Kotpad, Maniabandha, Khandua, and more. We bring these weaves into contemporary silhouettes — designed for everyday use, not just festive or occasional wear — ensuring traditional techniques evolve with changing lifestyles. When you buy, you fund the next generation learning the loom.
We see handloom not just as craft, but as cultural continuity—something that carries identity, memory, and meaning across generations.

social impact

Women & Community

We work closely with women artisans and home-based weavers — creating opportunities for skill continuity, income stability, and dignity of work within their own communities.

sustainability impact

Environmental Responsibility

Handloom is inherently low-impact — no large-scale electricity, minimal waste. We prioritise natural, breathable fabrics, chemical-free dyes, and small-batch production. Thoughtful sourcing to reduce excess and overproduction. Every Earthyweaves piece displaces a fast fashion purchase — low water, no synthetic fibres, carbon footprint a fraction of mill-made fabric. Designed to last years, not seasons.
Handloom is a naturally low-impact production technique—requiring minimal electricity and resources compared to industrial manufacturing.

sustainability impact

Transparency & Traceability

We aim to build transparency across our value chain—from sourcing to making—so customers understand where their clothing comes from and who makes it. As we scale, we are committed to sharing clear, verifiable impact data.

social impact

Local Ecosystems

We work within existing craft clusters—strengthening local production ecosystems rather than displacing them. Our approach supports continuity of skills, community-based livelihoods, and regional craft identity.
